Hi, I'm Annie Dolle LCSW

and I provide individual trauma focused therapy for adolescents, adults, and elders utilizing a mindful, body-centered approach. A Little About My Personal/Professional Background

Hello and welcome! I am a practicing therapist and medical social worker with over twenty years of dedicated study/professional experience in the helping profession.

My story began here in Portland, Oregon and has taken me to some pretty interesting places. These include (but aren’t limited to) West Africa in the Peace Corps, homes across Oregon supporting children and families in crisis, the walls of an elementary school counseling office, a group mental health practice in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and the busy environment of a Level I Trauma Emergency Department.

What I have discovered is the resiliency of the human sprit, the commonalities of the human condition, and the simple reality that wherever we go, there we are. Our life experiences and the beliefs we carry have a profound impact on our perceptions, interactions, and relationships. I have also found that it is in relationship that people heal, and supportive connection is the antidote for pain and confusion.

As a student of the Hakomi method and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psycotherapy), I find that the mindfulness-based/experiential work pairs well with the powerful tool of EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Re-processing). These modalities can be useful in helping to resolve painful or traumatic issues and blocking beliefs. I myself have experienced a deep seismic heart-shift and can personally attest to the healing powers found in these therapies.

Through Arrival Counseling, I have the opportunity to draw from my palette of tools, training, and life experiences to assist you in making greater sense of your inner world. If you are moving through life without the ability to enjoy, cope, and be present, we will unearth how you arrived to your current state, and discover new options. Whether you are experiencing grief/loss, finding it difficult to navigate parenting or family transitions, in need of support due to a challenging life event, or experiencing difficult symptoms related to your mental health, I am dedicated to your wellness. Lets work towards stabilization, healing, insight, and hope. I am passionate about highlighting your unique strengths and creativity.
